Just a few kilometers away from the very touristic city of Pokhara, we found a village surrounded by mountains called Similduda.
We found out there that 2 schools were providing prep studies for public school to the children of the village, mostly from families who couldn’t afford to pay any kind of tuition for their children, until the government cut their funding by 50%.
We are paying every year the remaining 50%, supporting 50 pre-school children and 8 children aged 6 to 14yo studying at the local boarding school to attend public school within next months or years. We also provide basic food necessities as well as uniforms and school supplies.
